Pittsburgh has grown into quite the dog-friendly city. We’re packed with a slew of dog-friendly restaurants and you’ll have no problem finding a dog park in almost any neighborhood, so it’s no wonder things have expanded to large events geared specifically to our four-legged friends.
As June kicks off, the pups over at The Dog Spot are sharing some events they have marked on their calendars. Turns out they’re busier than we thought!
What: Three Rivers Arts Festival

Event Details: This is not so much as an event, but something your dog can enjoy the entire summer when they want to beat the heat. Located at Frick Park, the nicknamed Hot Dog Dam is located off of the Tranquil Trail and is natural pool where dogs can run and jump into this well-known Pittsburgh pup hot spot!
What: 2017 DockDogs Competition @ The Regatta at Lake Arthur
When: Saturday, August 5 & Sunday, August 6
Where: Moraine State Park, Lake Arthur in Pottersville, PA
Event Details: 3 Rivers DockDogs, member club of DockDogs Worldwid, will be joining the annual Lake Arthur Regatta. Just an hour north of Pittsburgh, join thousands watch high-flying pooches partake in a friendly aquatic canine completion.
