Doggy Daycare

The Best Doggy Daycare Service in East End – Pittsburgh

Your pup loves to play and romp around, but you may not always have the time or energy to take him out for walks or jogs as often as they’d like. Dogs that are able to enjoy daily physical activity are less stressed, happier and healthier! Being able to interact with other canines is also a great way to build social skills for pets of all ages. At The Dog Stop, we focus on providing your furry friend with a spacious indoor/outdoor play area, supervised at all times to be sure everyone gets along.

  • Our daycare for dogs is separated by age, play style, energy level and size so your companion will be able to romp and play with others just like him!
  • Smaller breeds and youngsters can also take advantage of our daycare with plenty of options for juvenile and growing pups to enjoy themselves safely.
  • Seniors are welcome too! We are able to separate the more sedate dogs from those who are energetic and still allow everyone plenty of interactive opportunities.

Dogs will be evaluated so we can make sure they understand how to play safely and interact with other guests here at The Dog Stop. We put the health and safety of your pet as our focus which is why new arrivals are given a temperament evaluation. This lets us familiarize ourselves with your dog’s personality and allows us to match them with the right playmates. If you have any questions about how we determine which dogs can safely enjoy doggy daycare, or if you would like more information on our rates or location, please contact us at any time!

Our core philosophy focuses on a lot of playtime and exercise for every pup in carefully selected playgroups. We understand not everyone has the time to give their dogs the exercise they need. Dogs that join us for daycare enjoy spacious indoor/outdoor supervised group play areas featuring interactive elements such as: benches, bridges, balls, chew toys, wading pools and of course, our canine companions.

What is required for my dog to play/stay at The Dog Stop®?

The safety and health of your pet is our first concern. Our The Dog Stop® Play/Stay contract includes a personality profile, so we have basic information about your dog’s temperament and match him with the right playmates. All boarding dogs that participate in daycare must demonstrate adequate social skills and the ability to play safely. On the first overnight stay at The Dog Stop®, we will evaluate your dog’s interactions with other guests. If we find your dog isn’t daycare friendly, he will instead receive personal playtime from our canine companions.

Vaccinations & Flea/Tick Requirements

Prior to boarding and/or daycare, you must provide proof of the following vaccinations from your vet:

  • Bordetella – Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Parvovirus & Distemper – Up-to-date vaccinations
  • Rabies – Up-to-date vaccinations

We also require that your dog be on a regular flea and tick prevention program, such as Frontline or Advantage. (Flea Powders/Collars are not acceptable, with the exception of the Seresto Collar). Dogs over 7 months must be spayed or neutered in order to participate in daycare, however they may still be boarded.
